On a day that Northern Californians love to brag about, with a setting that could only be found in the Santa Cruz mountains, Inktomi brought together some of its outstanding people for 7 hours of fun, challenge, and skill! Now that's what I call a Friday celebration!

The day started off passive enough. Some stretches, a little walk, and the fresh air. Then, the donning of the equipment started. We knew we were in store for something interesting...

The morning's exercises were "low-altitude," with more skill and thinking. For instance, consider "Inktomi's Web," above. A team of 9 people has to find a way to get all nine through the web, one at a time. Caveats: there are nine sections of the web, and no section can be used more than twice. Further warning: no team member can touch any part of the web. Hit it too hard, and the whole team has to start over!

Without giving away all of the fun, suffice it to say that we all exercised well to get this far. Time for a well-deserved break!

On to the "high altitude" challenges!
